FHB Presents $200K Leadership Gift

First Hawaiian Bank Foundation president Sharon Shiroma Brown (center) recently presented a $200,000 check to University of Hawaii at Manoa chancellor Virginia Hinshaw (left) and UH Foundation president and CEO Donna Vuchinich to fund The Dan and Maggie Inouye Distinguished Chair in Democratic Ideals.

Carole Kai Charities Donates $20K

In response to its urgent need for donations in order to remain open, Lanakila Multi-Purpose Senior Center recently received a $20,000 donation from Carole Kai Charities. Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the state’s largest senior center needs to raise $150,000 by June 30 to continue operations.
