Chinese Chamber Presents Awards

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii had its 2009 Presentation of Awards at its installation banquet recently at Waikiki Lau Yee Chai Restaurant. Pictured (from left) are awardees Paul T. Hayashi, Outstanding Chamber Volunteer; Warren K.K. Luke, Outstanding Business Person; Blossom Y.Tyau, Outstanding Narcissus Festival Volunteer, and George H.T. Chu, Lifetime Achievement Award winner with Ted C.T. Li, immediate past president of the Chamber.

TWH Honors Distinguished Guests

Travel Women, Hawaii (TWH) recently celebrated its 55th anniversary with “A Medley of Memories” at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. This scholarship and community service benefit honored distinguished tourist industry individuals. Pictured (from left) are Outstanding Tourist Industry Pioneer awardees Earnest K. Nishizaki, executive vice president and COO of Kyo-ya Company, Ltd; Danny Kaleikini, Hawaii’s ambasador of aloha and a legend in Hawaiian entertainment,and Ethel Y. Nada, general manager of The Breakers Hotel.
