Waipahu United Church of Christ invited members and neighbors to attend its annual fall bazaar Nov. 21, when folks had the chance to consume a wide array of foods, including barbecued chicken, plate lunches and fresh produce. Also for sale were plants, crafts, toys and books among other finds at the white elephant sale.

There also was a country store for folks to peruse. Proceeds from the bazaar’s sales went toward supporting WUCC’s mission programs, such as its efforts to distribute 3,000 boxes of cereal to keiki on Furlough Fridays. Watch for church member Rose Pamatigan as she walks as the grand marshal for the Waipahu Christmas Parade, starting at 3 p.m. Dec. 12 at Waipahu District Park. Parmatigan and others on the WUCC float will be passing out Hug Me Bears teddy bears to children along the route. See ‘Highlights’ for parade details.
