Island children from near and far made their way out to Iroquois Beach Island Club the afternoon of March 29 to compete in a Youth Triathlon race series. Keiki 7-10 competed in a 100m swim, 5K bike race and 1K run, while those ages 11-14 went the distance with a 200m swim, 10K bike race and 2K run. After crossing the finish line, the young athletes enjoyed healthy snacks, were treated to medals and rocked out to a jammin’ concert.

The race series was first established to bring together Hawaii’s youths and provide a safe environment in which they could compete and have fun.
