If you love designer fashions but not the prices, then you won’t want to miss Hawaii Opera Theatre’s Spring Benefit: Act II, A Fashion Reprise on May 4 and 5 at the Honolulu Design Center (1250 Kapiolani Blvd.). The event features hundreds of divine finds, from formal designer wear to everyday career and casual fashions donated by some of Hawaii’s best dressed ladies and gentlemen.

“Many of the items are in near-perfect condition, having only been worn once or twice,” says event co-chair Josette Marsh. “Hawaii is such a small town, and the ladies here just don’t like to be seen wearing the same dress at more than one function. This year, we have already priced hundreds of designer outfits including Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Gucci.”

On Friday, May 4, a Red Carpet Party and Fashion Show is scheduled to take place on the Third Floor Terrace of the Honolulu Design Center at 6 p.m. A fashion show in the INspiration Showroom on the second floor follows and the evening culminates with a pre-sale event in The Cupola Events Theatre room. Entry ticket to all three events is $60.

The sales event open to the public starts on Saturday, May 5, in the Honolulu Design Center’s Cupola Events Theatre from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — or while inventory lasts. Tickets cost $6 at the door, or $5 with a downloadable $1 off coupon from www.hawaiiopera.org or through the Hawaii Opera Theatre office at 987 Waimanu St. For more information, call 596-7372.
