Tiare Noelani Cowan has been named president of Archipelago Hawaii. Cowan, former owner of TCB Island Interiors and co-owner of Studio Becker Honolulu, started the company with her brother Rick Cowan in 2007. She began her design career in furniture sales and slipcover work more than 25 years ago.

Tom Kelleher has been appointed chairman of the School of Communications at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Kelleher began his career at the university in 1999 after earning his Ph.D. from the University of Florida. He also served on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill faculty from 2004 to 2006.

Aaron Cooley, Testing and Inspection manager of Baldridge & Associates Structural Engineering, has been certified as master of special inspection by the International Code Council. A graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in structural engineering, Cooley has 15 years of special inspection experience. He joined BASE’s Testing and Inspection division in September 2009.

Liz Chun has been named director of philanthropy for Pali Momi Medical Center. In this role, she is responsible for raising funds in support of the care being provided to the Central and West Oahu communities. Chun is a 15-year veteran of television news at KGMB/Hawaii News Now, where she served as the state’s first and only female sports director.

Scott Seu has been appointed vice president, Energy Resources for Hawaiian Electric Company. Seu will be responsible for purchase power and other resource acquisition functions, as well as demand-response programs, pricing and customer technologies. In his 17 years with the company, he has held leadership positions in the energy projects, customer installations and environmental areas.

David Bruce has been hired as project developer for RevoluSun. Bruce will work with residential and commercial customers to find the best solar systems and financing options available to help them achieve energy independence. He brings nearly 20 years of construction experience and two years of solar experience to the company.
