The Pussycat Dolls will open Britney Spears’ ‘Circus’ tour

WELCOME TO Kimo’s Vegas ... The Player’s Edge!

IT’S OFFICIAL: Britney Spears brings her “Circus” tour to the MGM Grand Garden Arena April 25. At $695 each, VIP tickets sold out as quickly as they went on sale ... Die-hard fans can buy regular tickets on eBay or Craigslist starting at $300. Ladies, your dates will most likely want to be on time because the Pussycat Dolls, with Hawaii-born Nicole Scherzinger, will be the tour’s opening act.

YOU MAY NOT BE a rock star, but you can stay in a hotel known for its rich and famous clientele. Now through Dec. 24 it’ll cost you $89 a night, but if you buy one, they’ll give you one (night) for free and throw in a spa comp, a VIP clubbin’ pass, a $25 dining credit and $25 in free slot play. Call 866-395-7787 and use the code OPER3333. At this price, you won’t be in a $25,000-a-night Fantasy Suite, but you can brag to all your friends that you stayed at the Palms.

JOHN LEGEND concertizes at the Palms’ Pearl Theater Jan. 10.

CHECKING OUT the show about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons called Jersey Boys at the Venetian was Steve Wynn and Barry Gibb ... Brother Robin Gibb missed out because he was stopped at London’s Gatwick Airport for refusing to let officials search his bag. (‘Ey, mate, what ya got in there?) Speculation is that Steve Wynn’s newest hotel, Encore, will host a show about the life of the Brothers Gibb called Stayin’Alive late next year.

The Fours Seasons’ gingerbread display

IT TOOK 360 eggs, 350 pounds of sugar, 180 pounds of honey, 90 pounds of chocolate (and a few other ingredients) to make the oneof-a-kind gingerbread display in the lobby of the Four Seasons. Anyone can sponsor some gingerbread real estate, with the proceeds going to the Nevada Cancer Institute. Check it out by Dec. 25.

AS OF THE END of November, the top five shows in Vegas are (No. 5) Beatles Love, (No. 4) O, next is Elton John, then Cher, and local girl Bette Midler is No. 1.

ANOTHER TOP 5 ... The users of TripAdvisor.com voted Hawaii as the No. 1 holiday dream escape followed by London, Paris, Aruba, New York City and Las Vegas.

THE NUMBER OF folks at McCarran Airport was down 12.8 percent to 3.6 million from October 2007 to October ‘08 ...

Dirk Arthur and his magical cats

IF YOU CAN’T make it to see the new $25 million Volcano at the Mirage before the end of the year, there will be a Fox New Year’s special featuring Robbie (Evel’s son) Knievel jumping the attraction on a motorcycle.

GET IN THE holiday spirit with some Xtreme Magic. Dirk Arthur has added festive music, seasonal illusions and more merriment to his show at the Tropicana. Check out Tilly, a 6-month-old liger (half lion, half tiger), white-striped tigers, black African leopards, a pure-white snow tiger and Santa at 2, 4 and 7 p.m.

THE ULTIMATE Baseball Ride is being sold to the highest bidder Jan. 16 at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Chevy Tahoe is over-thetop in every way, including a Rawlings baseball glove interior and the signatures of more than 220 Hall of Famers, stars and future stars, including Las Vegas resident and Maui boy Shane Victorino.
