WELCOME to Kimo’s Vegas ... the Player’s Edge!

Paris Hilton bet her Bentley - and lost

Bentley - and lost

PARIS HILTON is easily one of the hardest-working trust fund babies of our time ... she has designed purses, had her own line of jewelry and perfume, modeled, wrote a book, has one of the highest celebrity performance fees, charging $150,000 just to show up at an event, has been in dozens of commercials, movies and TV shows, and starred in home videos and a TV series. She has even been offered the role of young Mother Teresa in an upcoming movie ... maybe they were thinking of a young Madonna? Anyway, her new CD (recorded at the Palms Las Vegas) is due this summer. But did you know she plays poker? It’s reported that she was in a poker game at the Hilton and lost her Bentley (so much for the house edge).

THE WPT World Championship at the Bellagio has a record 605 players buying in at $25,500. The tournament’s top 100 players will go home with money, but champion takes the title, bracelet and $3.7 million. Now seen in 147 countries and territories from Antigua to Zambia, some of the big names we’ll be seeing are defending champion Tuan Le and Alan Goehring, plus T.J. Cloutier, Michael Mizrachi, Doyle Brunson, Antonio Esfandiari, Jennifer Harman, Daniel Negreanu, Scotty Nguyen, Erick Lindgren, Phil Ivey, Kathy Liebert, Jennifer Tilly and Scott Fischman.

A COUPLE of weeks ago we wrote about a completely different kind of tourney “The Paper, Scissors, Stone” Championships at the Mandalay Bay. After eight rounds the 250 participants wen Jun Ken Po their way to the Champion David McGill of Omaha, Neb. Eh, no laugh - bruddah went home with $50,000!

ALWAYS listen to your grandchildren ... Josephine Crawford was feeling a little despondent having lost $35 in a nickel slot in less than 10 minutes. Then her granddaughter Alicia Weeks suggested she play $3 on the progressive machine, where she won the largest jackpot in Atlantic City’s history - $10 million! I can’t wait for my grandson Ryden to talk so he can pick one for me!

“THE ULTIMATE Game” Golf Finals happens next June at the Wynn Las Vegas with the biggest purse in the history of golf - $2 million! Topping the British Open’s $1.21 million and The Players Championship’s $1.44 million, the good news is players on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour or Seniors Tour are not eligible. Now all we need is the $50,000 entry fee.
