est Oʻahu residents are invited to join Rotary Club of Kapolei Sunset on Saturday, May 22, for
World Vision 6K for Water, which raises funds for developing countries.
To participate, individuals and families can walk, jog or run — in their neighbor- hoods or at meets in Kapolei and Ko ʻOlina — 6 kilometers (3.7 miles), which is the av- erage distance some people have to journey to collect safe, drinkable water.
The registration cost of $50 is also a conscious decision, as that is the standard amount it takes to provide lasting water for one. Cost for those under age 18 is $25. Reg- istrants will receive a T-shirt, medal and race
