Without giving away the ending, what was one of your favorite scenes?

My favorite scene was when they were stuck in traffic and they had just broken the stereo so it was playing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” on full blast. I thought this was funny because most teenagers get embarrassed really easily, and this scene was definitely an embarrassing moment.

On a scale of one to four stars, what would you rate this film?

I would rate this movie ★★ 1/2 because it did make me laugh, and I would tell others to go see it, but I probably wouldn’t go see it again.

What did you think of the cinematography?

The cinematography was good, nothing too fancy, but everything went well with the movie. The director did a good job with all the sounds coming together.

Was the message/theme clear?

The Halloween theme was obviously there, along with the messages that high school kids often forget: You don’t have to be popular to be happy, and family is the most important thing in life.

Did it remind you of any other work in film?

The movie Sleepover, although it’s not about Halloween, it’s similar to this because the main characters are driving around all night looking for something and there are a lot of comedic moments along the way.

Who would you recommend this movie to?

I would recommend this movie to middle and high school kids because I think the middle school kids would enjoy the humor and the high school kids would understand and semi-relate to the characters.

Did any of the actors stand out?

Victoria Justice is one of my favorite television actors, so it was nice to see her on the big screen. She did a great job of making her character believable.

Did the soundtrack contribute significantly to the film?

The soundtrack made a big difference. The songs made it evident what the character was feeling, which helped make the audience feel more involved in the movie.

Would you buy this movie when it comes out on DVD?

Although I enjoyed the movie, I probably wouldn’t buy it, only because it’s a Halloween movie so I would likely only watch it during Halloween.

What’s your favorite movie snack?

My favorite movie snack is buttery popcorn.

On a different note, what’s new with you?

Right now I’m trying to figure out how to balance being Miss Hawaii Teen USA and a senior in high school. The confusion is enough to keep me busy, so I’m trying to stay away from adding anything new.
