Call For July 4 Parade Entries

Kailua Chamber of Commerce wants you for its 68th annual Independence Day parade.

Entries already are being accepted on the theme of “We Salute Kailua.” The annual march is set for 10 a.m. July 4, from Palapu Street down Kainalu Drive to Kailua Intermediate School. The final entry deadline is June 20. Fee is $120 for nonprofits, $325 for commercial entries, and $550 for political campaign units. There is no fee for marching bands, horse units or military and veteran groups. A mandatory meeting for participants is set for 7 p.m. June 25 at Kailua Intermediate School cafeteria.
