Sign Up Now For Kalaheo Spirit Run

Kalaheo High’s latest Project Grad fundraiser will take supporters on a race around Lanikai loop, starting from Kailua Beach Park.

The nonprofit’s fourth annual 5K Spirit Run/Walk starts at 7:30 a.m. April 7, and everyone is invited to sign up and support plans for a great drug- and booze-free graduation party. Entrance fee for adults is $25 before March 30 and $30 after; for students, faculty and military, it’s $20 before March 30, $25 after. The Project Grad committee also will accept walk-in registration from 6 a.m. on race day, but T-shirts are not guaranteed after March 30. For details, go to active.com or call Barbara at 351-3679.

Participants also are urged to show their spirit by donning a crazy hat or wig and painting their faces. Prizes go to the best spirit and also to the top 10 men and women finishers and top 10 youth finishers under 18.
