Caring for your pets just got easier, thanks to the donation of 20 “Oops Stations” throughout Mililani.

The pet cleanup stations, valued at $12,000, will dispense free plastic bags and include a trash can for pet waste.

The donation to Mililani Town Association is part of the PetSmart Gives Back program that supports local organizations that make communities vibrant and strong and enhance the quality of life for people and pets.

“The donation of 20 Oops Stations is a small token of appreciation from PetSmart for the support we have received from the Mililani community since opening our first store in Hawaii last February,” said Kevin Rokosz, PetSmart Mililani store manager. “It is very important for us to keep our community clean and free of pet waste, and we are excited to partner with Mililani Town Association to help encourage responsible pet ownership.”

The association expects to have all of the Oops Stations installed this month.

The homeowners association will be responsible for restocking the stations with plastic bags and emptying the waste bins.

In addition to the 20 Oops Stations, PetSmart has donated a year’s supply of plastic bags and trash can liners.

“PetSmart’s contribution will positively impact the daily lives of our residents, guests and especially pet owners. We are very delighted to have received such a generous gift from PetSmart,” said Mililani Town Association board president Will Kane. “Mililani Town Association wants to make sure we maintain, preserve and enhance the common areas of the Mililani community and also contribute to a healthy and clean environment for our residents.”
