3Rs Recycling Drive will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. May 13 at Keo- lu Elementary School (1416 Keolu
Drive) in Kailua.
Accepted items include scrap metals such
as bicycles, washers, dryers, fencing and fil- ing cabinets. Electronics accepted are TVs, computers, printers, scanners, monitors, large toner cartridges, laptops, game systems, cam- eras, cell phones, cables and cords. Confiden- tial documents will be collected and placed in locked bins to be shredded off-site. There is a limit of two boxes of paper per car.
Household goods that can be donated are new and gently used clothing, shoes, acces- sories, books, DVDs, CDs, kitchen items, toys and games. Used household cooking oil in sealed containers (up to 2 gallons per ve- hicle) will also be allowed.
In addition, HI-5 aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles are accepted. Proceeds from scrap metals, used household cooking oil and HI-5 cans and bottles will go directly to the school.
