pring is finally here, which means people are cleaning out their houses in time for a new season. Concurrently, Goodwill
Hawai‘i and ‘Ilima at Leihano Senior Living Community are teaming up to offer the com- munity a Spring Cleaning Donation Drive at 739 Leihano St., 9 a.m.-3 p.m. April 30.
Residents are encouraged to drop off gently used clothing, toys and household items, and the first 20 donors will be treated to a free car wash at CarWash808 Express.
“We are honored to partner with ‘Ilima at Leihano Senior Living Community on this donation drive that will benefit the communi- ty in more ways than one,” states Katy Chen, Goodwill Hawai‘i president and CEO. “While livelihoods are getting back to normal, the real- ity is that there are still so many local families dealing with the financial setbacks from the past few years. Donations from the commu- nity help us fund free job training, education, financial literacy services and more for people in need to get back to work or secure a higher paying job.”
