Sixteen-year-old Deiona-Marie Carter of ‘Ewa Beach ran off with gold following
the USATF Hawai‘i Junior Olympic Championships this summer. The teenager, who competes for the Spartan Track
Club, captured first in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter races, while also anchoring the winning 4x400-meter relay team.
