He led his team to victories throughout his three seasons at UH, including the school’s first and only undefeated season and Sugar Bowl invi- tation in 2007. He broke mul- tiple college career records and won various awards and honors.

His love for the islands was not just for the beauty of the state but for the love of the people, the ‘ohana. Colt always said how grateful he was for their acceptance and support. Hawai‘i was his sec- ond chance, his second home. Despite his struggles, so many in Hawai‘i still em- braced and loved Colt. Our family was shocked that he was still so widely remem- bered and endeared when he passed away on May 11. We are so grateful for the contin- ued outpouring of love and support, and again, accep-

           Colt was a star athlete and made his job on and off the field look easy. It was second nature for him to give inter- views or sign autographs, whether it was outside the stadium or at the grocery store. He enjoyed giving back to the community, dedicating much of his time participating in youth foot- ball camps and speaking en- gagements and volunteering
While Colt lost his 10-year battle with mental illness and addiction, we hope the fund can help someone else get help and successfully recover.
