A clinical psychologist since 1984, Rhoades holds a private practice in ‘Aiea called Ola Hou Clinic, where he specializes in post-traumatic stress disorder, dissociative disorders, anger and stress management, and sexual trafficking. In 2010, he began Roads to Hope, a nonprofit humanitarian organiza- tion, where he conducts international trauma counseling training and workshops for com- munity leaders around the world. He travels extensively and has been to countries like Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Japan, Iran and Russia. Most recently, he went to Cambodia to coun- sel families who are still affected by the kill- ing fields in the late 1980s.
