apturing precious memories through photography has always been meaningful, but with the tech-
nology of 3D printing, you can now take things to the next level. Hawai‘i Kai resi- dent Jacqueline Little loves seeing custom- ers happy with the final product from her business Shrunk3D Hawaiʻi.
Open since December, the 3D printing process is simple. It begins with clients coming to the trailer, picture ready. They strike a pose and keep still for about 1.5 seconds. Within that time, 190 pictures are taken of the client.
“We go over the pictures together to make sure they are happy with the smile and pose,” says Little.
As soon as they confirm that they are happy with the pictures, Little will submit the order to the corporate designers to for- mat into a 3D version, which is then sent to be made. The final product is an identical 3D replica printed in full HD color using a durable nylon with micron precision.
