āhala resident Miranda Rudegeair is helping people dance to the beat of their own drum through her compa-
ny, Hawai‘i Dance Bomb.
“I’m passionate about helping people real-
ize that their way to move is the right way,” Rudegeair says. “They can’t get it wrong. They don’t have to do it exactly like everyone else. I want to invite people to dance with the same childlike innocence they once had.”
Unlike most dance studios, Hawai‘i Dance Bomb is not focused on students’ technique and talent. Rather, it is more con- cerned with students’ ability to let go and enjoy the experience.
“Our goal is to help as many people as we can to feel safe to dance and have a good time,” Rudegeair explains. “We all know that inhibition kicks in as we get old- er. There are so many people who dance at home around the house, but when it comes to dancing in public with other people they freeze in fear of being judged. We want to invite all the stay-at-home dancers to come
