A ttention all East O‘ahu drivers: In an effort to cut down on wait times at testing sites, the city has adopted new rules for road test no-shows. Prospective drivers who fail to show up for scheduled road test appointments to obtain a Hawai‘i driver’s license will be barred from making another appointment for 14 days and will forfeit the required $8 deposit to pre- pay for the road test. The new procedure is aimed at reducing an estimated 17% no-show rate. The high rate at testing locations on the island has been a signif- icant factor in how long many drivers have to wait for an available appoint- ment. “We expect the new
