     Personal trainer, animal enthusiast and new mom Bonnie Maxson Lee has developed a mommy and me exercise program in Waimānalo.

s a new mother with an active tod- dler, Bonnie Maxson Lee came up with a unique take on the “mommy
and me” class concept and is sharing it with her fellow “mommas.”
As the owner of BMaxFitness, Maxson Lee has worked as a personal trainer and yoga instructor since 2009. She was ranked as the No. 1 personal trainer in Tampa, Flor- ida, before moving to Hawai‘i in 2018 with her husband, who’s a local resident, and making a home as an ‘ohana in Waimānalo.
“We’re new parents to a 15-month-old, so I wanted to be able to work with my son and train mommas in a fun way with their keiki to get their personalized results, while hav- ing fun plus enjoying time with their babies,” Maxson Lee says.
She explains that the mommy and me classes, which are held at DLT Ranch’s “Da Zoo” in Waimānalo, offer an array of benefits including instilling a healthy rou- tine; building strength; fostering support as a community; offering play time and de-
