Missed Spring Cleaning? Help Arrives For Getting Organized

East Oahu residents will have an easier time starting (and finishing) home improvement projects as Honolulu-based Simply Organized opens its second location May 25 at Kahala Mall.

The grand opening will feature a traditional Hawaiian blessing at 10 a.m., and attendees have a chance to win an Apple iPad 3 or freedomRail custom closet, a best-selling do-it-yourself closet system.

According to vice president Carol Ai May, Simply Organized is important for Hawaii residents because of all the smaller homes and extended families living under one roof. The company provides a way to make the most out of their spaces with products and free organization workshops.

The Kahala store will have 8,300 square feet and carry more than 3,000 products to help residents organize their kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, offices, garages, closets, classrooms and more. Items also include hooks, shelving, packaging, trash bins, cleaning, storage, hobbies and travel.

The store is adjacent to Longs, The Walking Company and Macy’s in the mall. Susan Gusukuma, who has 20 years of store operations experience with City Mill, will manage the store, and 20 “organization specialists” will be hired. To apply, download the application at simplyorganized.net/about. html.

City Mill is the sister company of Simply Organized, which opened its first location at Crossroads in Kapolei in November 2008.
