Lions Flip Pancakes For Dads

Kaiser High School’s Interact Club and other volunteers helped to collect both food and money for Aloha Harvest at its annual ‘Fill the Truck’ drive in February by Kapahulu Safeway store. Share a stack of pancakes with dad and Hawaii Kai Lions Club at the 42nd annual Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. June 21 at Kaiser High School’s cafeteria.

“(The breakfast) continues to be one of the largest events of its kind in the state,” said Lion Ken Nishibun.

The menu features pancakes, sausages, eggs and coffee or juice, and the club expects to sell approximately 3,500 meals at the fundraiser. Collected monies support Lions Club volunteer projects including the Hawaii Kai Holiday Parade, vision and hearing screenings for East Oahu schoolchildren, Kaiser High’s Project Graduation and more.

Tickets are $6 and will be available in advance and at the door.
