Kamalanimalie Manner, who attends Hanalani Schools, is joined by Ilima Intermediate’s Chrysta- Lynn Rasa, Kaimiloa Elementary’s Jerrilyn Nerya, and Maddox Kainuma, Josiah Locquiao and Brayden Bustamante- Kahale of Palisades Elementary to form Illumatrx.

According to “dance mom” Leilani Rasa (grandmother of Chrysta-Lynn), the crew wanted to come up with a catchy name for their group.

“They want to ‘light up the stage’ that they perform on with their talent for dancing,” she said.

Illumatrx has prepared a special routine that has to do with everyday life in school.

“The benefit of doing something big like this is to help them build their self-confidence and selfesteem,” continued Rasa.

“Whether they place or not, the most important thing is that they have fun on stage doing what they love to do the most — dance,” she added.
