Farrell’s Hawaii Throws A Sweet 50th Celebration Saturday

Farrell’s Hawaii recently revamped the schedule for its 50th anniversary celebration, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday. Here’s the latest scoop on the event:

It will take place at the Farrell’s location in Pearlridge Uptown and will feature contests throughout the day.

Kicking off the event will be the Keiki Ice Cream Decorating Contest for kids ages 4-9. The fee to enter is $10, and all proceeds will benefit Arthritis Foundation of Hawaii.

Next up is the Man vs. Burger challenge, in which participants have 30 minutes to finish a 3-pound burger. Entry fee is $20.

The day ends with dessert in The Pig’s Trough, which is an ice cream-eating contest. Participants have three minutes to finish Farrell’s popular ice cream dish. Entry fee is $13.

All contestants have a chance to win prizes that include iTunes gift cards, Farrell’s gift certificates and logo items, and tickets for a number of attractions including Sea Life Park, Hawaii Pirate Ship Adventures, Fourever Fab Best of The Beatles and Germaine’s Luau. The event also will feature a cotton candy machine and a photo booth.
