Doing Business With The Feds In Hawaii

Federal Government Contracting Basics is the topic of a free workshop for small business owners, set for 9 a.m. to noon June 6 at Kapolei Hale.

Getting a government award and successfully fulfilling a contract are important and challenging tasks for small businesses, requiring good planning. Toward that end, the topics will include:

* Small Business Administration (SBA) certifications – Hubzone 8(a) and Women-Owned Small Business

* How to apply for Disadvantage Business Enterprise Certification

* What you need to know about becoming a federal contractor

* How to start doing business with the federal government

The workshop is cosponsored by the U.S. SBA, Department of Transportation and MBDA Business Center Honolulu.
