Augie’s Lively Comedy Shows Help Community

Comedian Augie T has made a living bringing laughter to people in the community and has even made gleeful waves on the Mainland.

During the next two weekends, he will use his lively stand-up act to benefit two outstanding organizations, and he invites the public to come down and get silly.

* Hilarity ensues Saturday in Waipahu High School cafeteria for Hawaii Slam-mers Soccer Club’s 98 Boys fundraiser.

The club’s mission is to build strong, confident individuals through soccer development.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show, hosted by Lil Guy, starts at 7.

Live music is provided by Mike T., and tickets cost $10 (children age 5 and under get in free).

* The 2002 Comedian of the Year then takes his show to Kalei’opuu Elementary School in Village Park Oct. 4 to benefit Makana O Ke Akua.

The nonprofit’s aim is to create a clean and sober living environment for men who wish to make a positive change in their lives.
