AMOS KOTOMORI AT NEIMAN MARCUS

Award-winning designer Amos Kotomori (pictured at right) launches his newest collection of men’s shirts, a linen line called Bodhi by Kotomori, at Neiman Marcus Ala Moana this week with a special appearance Oct. 18 and 19 from noon to 3 p.m. “The new line is denim indigo dyed,” explains Kotomori. “It’s a four-part process that includes dyeing the fabric, overprinting with an abstraction solution and getting back to the white original linen, then reprinting again so the color does not run. It will fade in time like denim, but not run in the laundering.”

Kotomori, who also is known for his beautiful designs in jewelry and gowns, released his first men’s contemporary shirt collection at Neiman Marcus in September 2010. For more information, call 951-8887.
