Many former Miss Hawaii USA titleholders attended the pageant, including Jonelle Layfield, Justine Michioka, Alicia Michioka (new executive director for Miss Hawaii USA and Miss Hawaii Teen USA), Brianna Acosta, Radasha Hoohuli, Jennifer Fairbanks and Brook Lee, Miss Universe 1997, who served as emcee with radio DJ Maleko McDonnell.
