Hamamoto was recognized for his efforts to promote education and professionalism in the real estate community, and he has been practicing real estate for nearly 30 years. In addition to his several designations, he is an instructor for the Graduate Realtor Institute program.

Edward Relin of Ewa Beach has graduated from the three-week airborne training course, known as “jump school,” at U.S. Army Airborne School, Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The Army Reserves Officers’ Training Corps cadet underwent a rigorous, progressive physical training program and received instruction in the theory of parachute jumping, safe landing falls, mock door exiting, and wearing a parachute harness and lateral drift apparatus. Relin graduated from Lanakila Baptist High School in 2012.

Glad Bautista (RA) has joined Coldwell Banker Properties as an independent agent in its Leeward office. The Makakilo resident previously served as supervisor, technologist and practitioner at Hawaii Medical Center-West.

Pearl City’s Florian Taong and Matlyn Kanoho-Taong’s son Florian Kanoho-Taong has graduated from U.S. Army Air Assault School and earned the honor of wearing the Air Assault Badge. The 10-day course of instruction focuses on combat assault operations involving hands-on, performance-oriented Army warfare operations associated with helicopters.

Donna Bulesco (RA) of Ewa Beach has joined Coldwell Banker Properties as an independent agent at its Leeward office. A graduate of Pearl City High School, Bulesco previously served as a Realtor-Associate at Gentry Homes.

Lauren Hill of Pearl City has graduated from the Leader Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) at Fort Knox, Ky. The Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) cadet at University of Hawaii endured 29 days of training, which provided professional instruction and evaluation for all cadets in military life, administration and logistical support. Hill, a 2008 Kapolei High School graduate, is the daughter of Lesa Hill of Kapolei and Jim Hill of Honolulu, and earned an associate degree from Leeward Community College in 2011.

Catherine Paredes of Waipahu has graduated from the Leader Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) at Fort Knox, Ky. The 2010 Waipahu High School graduate completed training, which exercises the cadet’s intelligence, common sense, ingenuity and physical stamina. Paredes is the daughter of Edith Paredes, also of Waipahu.

Kapolei High School 2004 graduate Daniel Otineru has graduated from the Leader Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) at Fort Knox, Ky. Although continued military training and leadership development is included in the curriculum, the primary focus of the course is to develop and evaluate each cadet’s officer potential by exercising the cadet’s intelligence, common sense, ingenuity and physical stamina.

Avon representative Melvyn Soyangco from Waipahu has been recognized by Avon Products Inc. as one of the beauty company’s top representatives in the US. In honor of this recognition, the company awarded Soyangco, along with other top Avon representatives, an trip to Puerto Rico to celebrate their success during the annual President’s Recognition Program Celebration. “Melvyn truly embodies the entrepreneurial spirit that has been at the heart of Avon for many years, demonstrating firsthand how Avon representatives can achieve economic empowerment, financial freedom and the opportunity to lead a team and mentor others,” stated Eddie Silcock, vice president of Avon North America sales.

Shereen Hino has joined Coldwell Banker Properties as an independent agent at its Leeward office. Hino, a Kapolei resident, also is an office manager at a local snack shop and volunteer instructor in the state Hunter Education Program.

Jennifer Domaloan of Halawa has joined Chamber of Commerce Hawaii as controller and office manager. She will see to day-to-day financial operations, human resources and office administration. Most recently, Domaloan worked as human resources manager with Ganir & Co. Pacific Rim Commercial Services.

Lee Moriwaki of Aiea has been promoted to senior vice president and loan and deposit operations division manager at Central Pacific Bank. In his new position, Moriwaki manages Loan Operations and Systems Applications Support divisions. His responsibilities include managing loan origination and servicing, deposit services, documentation and operations administration. Moriwaki has been with CPB since 2011.

Pearl City’s Landon Miner has been promoted to the rank of chief petty officer. He received his Gold Fouled Anchors, which serves as the final event for Navy CPO 365 Phase II training. Miner is the son of Tracy and Eleanore Miner, also of Pearl City.

Chief Alejandro MartinezRodrigues of Makakilo currently is serving aboard USS Zumwalt (DDG 100), which is the Navy’s newest and most advanced ship. He is a Navy gunner’s mate and the leading chief petty officer aboard the ship. MartinezRodrigues graduated from Kapolei High School in 2004.
