Here’s a brief look at what some of your neighbors have been up to.

The last few months have meant great job successes for many of West Oahu residents. From starting new jobs to big promotions, these area people are making moves.

Kapolei resident Nicole Fuertes recently was promoted to vice president of Communications Pacific. Fuertes joined the company in 2008 and has been responsible for managing some of its key clients, including Aloha Festivals, McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii and Ronald McDonald Charities of Hawaii.

In her new position, Fuertes will be responsible for direct and indirect management of clients, supervision of staff and new business development. She also will contribute to CommPac’s strategic direction.

“In her six years at CommPac, Nicole has clearly demonstrated that she is one of Hawaii’s top young public relations professionals,” stated Kitty Lagareta, CommPac chief executive officer. “In addition to the numerous successes she has brought to a wide range of clients, Nicole has distinguished herself by never fearing to challenge conventional thinking. It is a pleasure to recognize her many significant contributions to our company with this promotion.”

Waipahu resident Glenn Imai recently was promoted to president and credit officer of retail and small business credit delivery at Central Pacific Bank. Imai, who joined CPB in 2005, has 15 years of banking experience. He also has worked as an assistant manager at Citifinancial and more recently was the assistant vice president and credit officer at CPB.

In his new position, he is responsible for overseeing underwriting for small business and consumer loan products.

Meanwhile, Central Pacific Bank’s Jamie Won, a Kunia resident, has been promoted to vice president and Kapahulu branch manager. Won has been with CPB since 2011 and previously was assistant vice president and Kapahulu branch manager. She has 30 years of banking experience.

In her new role, she will lead, coach and inspire her team to exceed the financial needs of bank customers.

West Oahu residents also have been seeing a lot of success at Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties in recent months.

Ewa Beach resident Jill Moss, for example, has joined the firm’s Kapolei office, while Pearl City resident Nana Isono has joined the Kahala office.
