The American Board of Obesity Medicine has approved Kailua’s Peggy Latare to treat patients for the condition. A Kaiser Permanente doctor, Peggy is Hawaii’s first physician and among the first in that nation to achieve this distinction. “A medical specialty in obesity allows me to enhance my efforts in helping people identify the right combination of diet, exercise, behavior change and medical treatment to reach their health weight,” she says …
