You may have seen Stella & Dot jewelry and accessories featured in various national fashion magazines, and on some of Hollywood’s most fashionable celebrities including Selena Gomez, Fergie, Stacy Keibler, Katy Perry and many more.

But you haven’t been able to find it in any stores. That’s because Stella & Dot is available exclusively through in-home trunk shows by independent stylists and online.

Founded in 2003 by Jessica Herrin, and rebranded in 2007 from Luxe Jewels to Stella & Dot, the San-Francisco-based company is an Inc. 500 Fastest-Growing Company that has been well-received by fashion editors and stylists. According to Lara Leimana Fonoimoana, Mrs. America 2011 and a senior stylist for Stella & Dot, there are about 90 Stella & Dot stylists in Hawaii.

“I love Stella & Dot because it really gives the flexibility to work more from home and be closer to my children all while supplementing a great income to support my family,” says Fonoimoana. “We offer a fantastic opportunity for women and even men who are looking to transition back into the workforce or out of it. Many of our stylists have full-time jobs. We have doctors, lawyers, flight attendants, grandmas and stay-at-home moms, which really shows this is a company that is flexible for any person.

“Also, the jewelry is fabulous and half the line is under $50. And for people who want to get involved, independent stylists can start with as little as $199 up front and receive $350 worth of jewelry, or choose other kits to launch their business faster and with more to display. After their initial purchase, they can buy all the jewelry at a 50 percent discount. There are no large inventory requirements or monthly quotas.”

Stella & Dot is based on the party or trunk show concept, in addition to personalized online sales through a stylist. In addition to its large selection of jewelry, it also carries an assortment of leather bags, charms and scarves.

Featured here are some of the latest accessories from Stella & Dot, modeled by local Stella & Dot stylists.
