State Bar Association Dinner
The Hawaii State Bar Association and Hawaii State Bar Foundation recently held a fundraiser dinner at the Hawaii Convention Center. Themed “The Spirit of Aloha,” the dinner honored the late Sen. Daniel K. Inouye and retired Sen. Daniel K. Akaka for their contributions to Hawaii and our nation.
Annual dinner proceeds support community programs and projects which further the goals of the legal community. This year’s primary beneficiary is the Judiciary’s Courts in the Community Project, the Hawaii Supreme Court’s educational outreach program. The program is designed to educate and engage State high school students and the general public about the Judiciary’s role in our government by bringing actual cases to be heard within their community. Dinner proceeds will also fund legal service provider community projects.
