‘Spamalot’ Knights Claim DHT

Being a Knight of the Round Table isn’t just fighting and magic; sometimes it has a little comedy, as offered by Diamond Head Theatre’s Spamalot, set for the stage July 18-Aug. 3.

As a musical adaptation of the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the production features the not-so-heroic adventures of King Arthur and his ragtag band of knights. Expect copious singing, jokes and references to other musicals and Broadway shows.

Laurence Paxton stars as King Arthur, joined by Butch DePonte-Merideth, Venis Goodman, Garrett Hols, Braddoc Decaires, Tony Young and Kalia Medeiros.

Andrew Sakaguchi is director/choreographer.

Curtain goes up at 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 3 and 8 p.m. Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays.

A special Talk Back discussion will follow the July 27 show. Tickets cost $35-$15, depending on seat location.
