Shop And Grind To Help Charity

If residents stop by Aloha Stadium next Monday (May 28) between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to purchase local food and crafts, they will be helping the Ronald McDonald Charities of Hawaii.

The stadium and its Swap Meet and Marketplace are partnering with Ronald McDonald House for the second event in the Shop & Grind for A Cause Series.

Ronald McDonald House offers support for families with seriously ill children by providing them with a place to stay while their children are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The organization has two such houses located in Manoa, and also provides a support center at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.

Aloha Stadium intends to collect 2,500 quarters for Ronald McDonald House and is requesting that attendees donate a quarter or more throughout the event.

Participating vendors include Baja Style, Gourmet Hawaii Salt, Island Sandwich Creations, La Crepe Cafe, Kona Ice, North Shore Goodies and Thirty-One Gifts.
