No Shhh! April 2 At WCC Library

Hawaiian slack-key guitar, freestyle rap, poetical wordplay and Kenyan-centered fiction all can be found in one place on April 2 when Windward Community College hosts “Out Loud in the Library!” from 6 to 8 p.m. in – where else? – the Library Learning Commons.

The free event is designed to encourage students to fuel their literary creativity through music and language. Former American Idol contestant and emcee Jonah “Big Mox” Moananu, guitarist and composer Ian O’Sullivan, poet and Mixing Innovative Arts founder Jaimie Gusman, and novelist and UH-West Oahu professor David Odhiambo will perform and share their work. The program will be downstairs in the library.
