Seniors Concierge Service

By Christina Laney Wycheck

Planning for the comfort of your golden years can be challenging and complex. When our family was managing my grandmother’s health care, home and financial details, I recognized the gap in available services and personalized assistance for local seniors.

To fill this need, I started the Kahala Associates Senior Concierge Program with my mother and real estate partner, Yumi Laney, and our colleague Dawn Soderquist Okano to help seniors avoid stress and create options for the lifestyles they deserve. Drawing upon our expertise as certified Seniors Real Estate Specialists, we assist our clients every step of the way and bring together a network of top professionals in financial, legal, health care and more to provide comprehensive and holistic counsel beyond the buying and selling of real estate. A “senior lifestyle” does not have to mean a reduced quality of life, limitations and fewer options. There are numerous ways to enhance the years ahead by adapting your lifestyle and smartly maximizing your assets.

Planning involves not only logistics, but also emotions and memories. Every situation is unique. Whether our clients want to move, downsize, enter a senior facility or age in place, we help to make the process as smooth and hassle-free as possible. We handle everything from finding a new home or senior facility to staging, de-cluttering and selling a property to making safety modifications in your current home.

We also started a series of free seminars for the senior community. Our upcoming seminar Saturday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Waialae Country Club will feature attorney and gerontologist Scott C. Suzuki and a discussion about legal considerations, including powers of attorney, health care directives, wills, trusts and tax strategies.
