Sea Life Park Has Keiki Summer Camps

Sea Life Park is teaming up with Kama’aina Kids to offer a weeklong summer program for grades K-6 that opens the whole of the park and all its marine-life offerings to eager campers.

Six one-week camps are planned for June 2-6, 16-20 and 23-27, and July 7-11, 14-18 and 21-25. Each day’s agenda opens at 8 a.m., but participants can be picked up and dropped off between 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. Activities include stingray encounters, dolphin discoveries, educational sessions and shows at the park’s Hawaii Ocean Theatre and Dolphin Cove, as well as access to the park’s general activities.

Fee is $220 per week (a discounted rate applies for children already enrolled in Kama’aina Kids summer package). Transportation is available for an additional $60, with pickup points at Ben Parker, Hahaione and Waimalu Elementary schools, Mililani Tech Park and Voyager PCS. The drop-off and pickup point will be Sea Life Park’s Education Center.

Early registration through Kama’aina Kids runs until May 9; a $25 late fee will apply to any reservations made after that date. Visit kamaainakids.com to register online or print out applications.

Also coming up are the Makapuu attraction’s Slumber at Sea Life Park, a family-oriented overnight experience, and its internship and volunteer opportunities for adults. Visit sealifeparkhawaii.com or call 259-2513 for more information.
