Reynolds Reopens Its Hauula Recycling Site

Koolauloa can once again recycle with ease: Hauula Certified Redemption Center has reopened at 54-290 Kamehameha Hwy.

The center operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and closes noon to 1:30 p.m. for lunch.

In addition to HI-5 products, it pays for aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel scrap metal. The center also accepts non-deposit glass bottles and jars, non-deposit plastic containers (Nos. 1 and 2), corrugated cardboard, newspaper, and white and colored paper.

Reynolds Recycling, operator of the Hauula center, has 38 other Hawaii redemption sites, according to RR president Terry Telfer.
