Reyn Spooner completed renovation of its Kahala Mall and Ala Moana Center stores this year, featuring flat planes, large glass windows and open space combined with the simplicity of the island lifestyle.
There also are large glass panels imprinted with Reyn Spooner’s trademark Lahaina Sailor print with Hawaii’s state bird, flower, tree and flag. In addition, the new stores offer a glimpse into Reyn Spooner’s rich past through vintage signs and advertisements, as well as a large history wall. And perhaps the most notable visual element is the nostalgic floor-to-ceiling image of Waikiki in the 1960s.

“When we decided to transition our stores from Reyn’s to Reyn Spooner, we looked to our beginnings – the 1950s and 1960s – for inspiration,” notes Kirk Hubbard III, Reyn Spooner CEO. “It just so happened that our company was established at the same time that Honolulu was becoming internationally known for its Hawaiian modernist architecture. Our new stores incorporate these unique design elements, offering the perfect setting to showcase our signature Classic Collection and our newer Modern Collection.”
