Recycling Drive Coming To Kahuku High

Kahuku High School will conduct an Aloha ‘Aina recycling drive from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday on campus, and public contributions are welcome.

The drive accepts scrap metal (including bicycles), computer and game systems, all types of batteries, used cooking oil, printer and toner cartridges, used appliances, paper, HI-5 containers, corrugated cardboard, used clothing and household items. Access Management also will be on site to shred confidential documents.

A partnership of Schnitzer Steel and the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, the drive’s cash proceeds will benefit the school. Still ahead for the convenience of Central Oahu residents, Sunset Beach Elementary School will have a recycling drive Nov. 16.
