Recycle For Keiki At Mobi PCS

During the month of July, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii (RMHC-HI) and Mobi PCS are teaming up to host Recycle for Keiki Month. Those who recycle their old electronic devices will be raising funds for RMHC-HI, which provides temporary housing for families whose children are seeking medical treatment.

Donations can be dropped off at any Mobi PCS store or dealer, including at Mililani Town Center.

Acceptable items include cell phones, PDA, iPods, digital cameras, tablets and chargers of any condition, age, model or carrier. Recyclers also can enter to win a Samsung Galaxy S2 phone with one year of service, or a Hele MiFi with one year of service.

The partnership between Mobi PCS and RMHCHI has been ongoing since 2008, when Mobi PCS began providing phones and phone service to families staying at a Ronald McDonald house. The company has raised a total of $42,000 for RMHCHI.

“Our Recycling for Keiki program is a win-win for the community on a number of levels,” Mobi PCS president and CEO Bill Jarvis stated. “Not only does the program help remove these devices from our landfills, it turns something that merely takes up space in your home and transforms it into financial support for the keiki who rely on Ronald McDonald House during a critical time.”
