Taro Brand, a Hawaii icon, has been in our lives since 1946. When you think poi, Taro Brand is top of mind. The Tattori ohana, creators of Taro Brand, just recently launched their new poi and lomi lomi salmon packs, now in stores. We were lucky to have some of the great staff, Nichole Shiraishi and Rich Vidinha, on this week’s show to share their recipe for Poi Parfait.
TARO BRAND POI PARFAIT
* 1/2 cup Taro Brand Poi
* 2 tablespoons cold water
* 2 teaspoons agave (or other natural sweetener)
* granola
* 1/4 banana, sliced
* 2-3 strawberries, sliced
* 1/4 cup blueberries
Mix poi and water. Add agave and blend well. (May be prepared in advance and chilled). Pour poi mixture in bottom of bowl. Layer with granola and top with assorted sliced fruit.
