Pie-A-Friend for Aloha United Way
First Insurance Company of Hawaii hosted “Pie-A-Friend” in the building’s courtyard earlier this year to benefit Aloha United Way. First Insurance associates voted with their wallets for 12 associates to get pied. Among those who got to lick pie off their faces were several executives, including First Insurance CEO Allen Uyeda and COO Jeff Shonka. Associates pledged $2 per vote and on event day, they made an additional donation of $5 to throw a pie, or $6 for a pie with chocolate sauce on top. All proceeds benefit Aloha United Way.
