e Jardin Academy fosters a deep sense of community in which stu- dents are nurtured and guided toward
a successful path through a globally minded approach to immersive learning.
Since opening as a single-room preschool in 1961, LJA has grown over the past 60-plus years into an educational leader and premier prekindergarten through 12th grade indepen- dent school in Windward O‘ahu.
LJA’s evolution includes a move to its dy- namic 24-acre campus in 1999, followed by its transition to becoming an International Baccalaureate World School. As Hawai‘i’s only full-continuum IB World School, all students who attend Le Jardin Academy participate in the IB program appropriate to their grade level: Primary Years Programme (prekindergarten through fifth grade), Mid- dle Years Programme (sixth through 10th grades) and Diploma Programme (11th and 12th grades) — the latter of which results in the IB diploma.
