“Many career artists who began art studies at WCC include local and na- tional studio art teachers and working artists in all Hawaiian Islands,” states Martin. “Some are de- signers, painters, ceramic and glass artists, photog-
raphers, gallery directors, as well as an illustrator in Portland, a painter in Paris, (and) a contemporary artist in NYC. In 2017, Wind- ward alum Sean Yoro was recognized by Forbes mag- azine as one of 30 under 30 successful national artists.”
