n in-person public town hall to discuss a proposed roundabout at Kamehameha and Kahekili high-
ways in Kahalu‘u and intersection improve- ments will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. April 21 at KEY Project (47-200 Waihe‘e Road) in Kāne‘ohe.
The event will also be virtual (bit.ly/3NZ- rIdm). The Hawaiʻi Department of Trans- portation is holding the town hall meeting to discuss plans to install the roundabout near Hygienic Store.
The purpose of the project is to improve safety, reduce conflicts with left turns and provide more efficient traffic operations. Comments and feedback can be submitted until May 5 at bit.ly/3DRoTGN.
According to the state Department of Transportation highways division, the proj- ect would be phased to allow traffic to con- tinue through the intersection during the pe- riod of construction.
