hree Campbell High students won $2,500 for their school, thanks to their participation in DTRIC Insurance’s
Drive Aloha PSA contest.
The locally based insurance company put
out a call for high school students from across the state to create a video answering the ques- tion, “What does ‘drive aloha’ mean to you?”
“We received some very creative ... entries and it was tough to select the winners,” states president and CEO Taku Mitsueda. “The stu- dents from Campbell High School shared a serious message with a bit of humor that ev- eryone should be able to relate to and one that resonated with our judges.”
Juniors Lina Reyes and Lucas Roberts, and senior Alyssa Hirayama titled their winning entry Watch Out, Aunty, and focused their message on how little distractions, like a cell phone, can have big consequences.
DTRIC’s Drive Aloha initiative, which launched in 2016, aims to create safer, friend- lier roadways across the islands.
